"Melania" was a wealthy heiress and philanthropist in the 4th and 5th century who engaged in lifelong good works.
Melania is made of soft, supple, organic brown leather, designed to age beautifully and naturally, and is accented by bamboo handles and wooden beads on leather tassels at the side. Exuding elegance and functionality, Melania can be carried with the stylish bamboo handles or worn across the body for maximum comfort with the detachable padded shoulder strap.
Inside Melania is a retro print cotton lining of the highest quality and two specially-designed, large zipped compartments. In the forward-most compartment is a cell phone pocket, several pen holders, a PDA or iPod pocket, "D" rings for keys and wallet, space for carrying your power supply, spare batteries, makeup, brush, and other "must-haves”.
Also in the front compartment is a complimentary matching wallet (for the first 500 Melania purchasers only), L 7" X H 4.5", with spaces for bills, coins, credit cards, and makeup. The wallet has an attached clip and can be affixed to a "D" ring in the front compartment of the Melania.
In the rear compartment is a special section designed to hold file folders, writing pads, and other business paraphernalia. Furthest back is a zipped compartment with padded walls, padded flaps and Velcro closure to safely secure your laptop. In addition, 3 gel pads are strategically placed for maximum shock absorption. The compartment is easily zipped closed with a double-headed metal zipper.
On the outside of the bag in back is a large internal zipped pocket for additional storage and two external pockets on the front, ideal for providing quick access to your cell phone, PDA, or iPod.
Melania comes with a detachable, adjustable leather shoulder strap with a padded retro print cotton shoulder pad for softening the load, and small metal rivets at the bottom of the bag for protection of the base. Strap length is 40" to 51" with rivet prongs for length variations. All metal hardware is an antique brass color and is lead-free.
